In my "Chromatin Origami" visual project, I explore the art of playing with the scientific modeling of DNA through mathematical manipulations. I reconstruct a 3D model of chromatin using ideal DNA interbasepair helical parameters in proper right-handed frame ordering. I calculate the 3D curve of the DNA using these parameters, including the shift, slide, rise, roll, tilt, and twist. The project involves manipulating the physics of DNA to create unique, imaginative shapes and designs. The default model includes 14 nucleosomes, each 146 base pairs in length, and a 27 base pair length of straight linker. Through this project, I challenge the traditional scientific representation of DNA and showcase its artistic potential.
